I practice medicine from a trauma-informed, client-centred, equity, diversity, social justice, and anti-oppressive lens. My clinical focus is in adolescent health, trauma support, mental health, substance use, sexual/reproductive health, and LGBTQ2S+ health. I enjoy learning from other health care practitioners and Indigenous healers in a safe and collaborative model and strongly believe in harnessing the power of nature to improve our individual and collective health and well-being.
I am an immigrant settler on Turtle Island (Canada) and am fortunate to have lived in k'jipuktuk (Halifax), sâskwatôn (Saskatoon), and tkaronto (Toronto). Originally hailing from Bangladesh, I grew up in the Middle East, and am now happy to call Canada home. My travels and teachings from my mentors, my patients, my family, and my children, continue to help me become a better communicator, collaborator, and clinician.
